New Entry in the Apple household!
Unveiled Sept. 7 at Apple's Far Out event , theiPhone 14 and its big family consisting of the iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max join the Apple household.
Let's find out right away what is new and the differences between the various models by also relating them to their predecessors.
Disappears the "Mini" version To make way for a new model: the Plus, which differs from the iPhone14 solely in size while remaining identical in features and performance.
In terms of size iPhone 14 mounts a 6.1″ OLED display, 2532×1170 pixels at 460 ppi, resistant to drops, splashes and dust, slightly larger on the other hand the iPhone 14 Plus with a 6.7″ OLED display with a resolution 2278×1284 pixels at 458 ppi, in both versions the notch was also confirmed.
Both models are available in the five colors: Blue, Purple, Midnight, Galaxy, (Product) RED.
Otherwise the two models have identical features such as the two cameras, one regular and one 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, both gift equipped with Photonic Engine, Apple's new technology that improves photos in low light.
Performance-wise, the A15 Bionic chip with 5-core GPU is a guarantee of outstanding performance and efficiency even with the most demanding tasks.
Let us now turn to the iPhone 14 PRO and iPhone 14 PRO Max models, again from a design perspective there are no obvious changes from the previous PRO versions, except for the front where there is a new notch.
There are four colors available here, different from the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus: Dark Purple, Gold, Silver, and Sidereal Black.
On the interface side, the PRO models see the introduction of the Dynamic Island, a way to make the space dedicated to notifications in the foreground and background more innovative and also to make the new notch that sees the front camera and Face ID split (joining them) pleasing to the eye.
Steps forward have been made in the camera, which features a 48-megapixel component that captures more light and improves the quality of the shot by exploiting a process known as pixel-binning, which creates one super-pixel that in turn groups four together for better low-light sensitivity.
As for the processor in these two models, the A16 Bionic SoC is introduced, which Apple's home presents as "the fastest chip ever in a smartphone."
Having listed the main features of the new iPhone 14 models, it is incumbent upon us Refurbished lovers, an assessment of the real differences with the predecessors and how much it is worth buying a product instead of a recent but Refurbished model.
From what we have been able to gather, there is almost nothing new about the design, at the processor level the A 15 chip remains in iPhone 14 and Plus (the same as in the previous models) and the A16 chip is introduced in the Pro models of which there is still no certainty about the actual increase in performance compared to the A15, from the photo and video point of view there are significant improvements for pictures taken in low light conditions.
